Jewellery designed and handmade
by Carmel Boerner
in Vancouver, BC.
Mostly I make one-of-a kind pieces for submission to exhibits. As an eternal student and lover of a deadline, I am inspired by exhibition calls and thrive on conducting research and then, exploring new materials and techniques, creating a piece around a concept.
I am a graduate of Vancouver Community College's Jewellery Art
and Design Program. I've worked for almost 30 years in local government and non-profits in Canada and the U.S. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and an MBA in Arts Administration, both from the University of British Columbia.
I work out of a shared space at The Beaumont Studios.
I'm a Citizen of Craft. You can view my profile here and my CV here.
I am grateful to live, work and play on the unceded homelands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ilwətaɁɬ / sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) nations.
